STEM and the Science Curriculum
The goal of the Professional Children's School Second Century STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Initiative is to prepare our students to succeed in an increasingly STEM-driven environment and global economy. Our goals include professional development, curriculum development, classroom and laboratory equipment upgrades, student education enrichment opportunities for students outside the classroom, and a distinguished visitor series. Full implementation of the STEM initiative will cost a minimum of $250,000 over three years.
TOPICS OF FOCUS
The PCS Second Century STEM Initiative has been funded, in part, by generous contributions from the Richard Lounsbery Foundation, the General William Mayer Foundation, Raushan Kabykenova, and gifts to the 2014 and 2015 Senior Class Gift and Eighth Grade Class Gift Funds.
