Dr. Ranjani Iyer, beloved PCS math teacher, recently published an article in Edutopia.
“Reflection in math class is a critical practice for promoting both academic success and emotional resilience, enabling students to connect deeply with their learning.”
Dr. Iyer discusses the importance of reflection in all learning, but especially in math classrooms. She touches on utilizing reflection as tool for deepening understanding of the content, and also for building confidence and resilience in the classroom.
It pleases us to see our teachers sharing resources with other educators, highlighting the importance of building a culture of reflection in the classroom regardless of the academic subject.
